Rockin' Necklaces by Joy's Hemp Jewelry

How fun to see my work embellished by someone else!

Etsy seller Joy's Hemp Jewelry has bought some of my pendants to use in her gorgeous hemp necklaces, available in her etsy shop...except her own personal one of her dog which she says "Everyone loves!" I made a custom clay pendant for her from a photo of her adorable little dog Ash and she made it into this cool necklace.

How cute is that?!

Here are some more. She does a great job of choosing colors of hemp and sometimes beads to complement each pendant.

Tuxedo Cat Necklace

Music Necklace

I love the small moon beads on this Moon and Stars Necklace.

Bright Flowers Necklace

Sunflower Necklace

I love them all, but this might be my favorite. I think the necklace design on this one is fantastic! Note how the curves on the necklace echo the curves on the face.

Contemporary Face Necklace

The ones pictured have all sold, but if you'd like a similar one, contact Joy or me and we will be happy to create one for you.

Be sure to visit her etsy shop, Joy's Hemp Jewelry, to see more of her wonderful creations!

My etsy shop is Artsy Clay.

Featured Etsy Artist - Rose Creek Cottage

Our featured Etsy artist today is Rose Creek Cottage, where you'll find unique, whimsical jewelry, including word pendants with charms ... initial pendants for Tweens, Tots and Teens ... and special holiday themed items. Keep checking back for new items, including dolls and Santas.

Carol says she quit a teaching job to market her creations years ago and has never looked back! Her experience includes retail and wholesale shows around the U.S., as well as art shows over the past 20+ years. She has been selling online for the past eight years on ebay (under the same name) with over 1300 positive feedbacks and will celebrate her one-year anniversary on etsy in November.

Available in various colors and patterns, here is a pretty sample of the Truffles Collection: Trinkets for Tots, Tweens and Teens. Sweet and trendy, each necklace is nestled in a truffle cup and tucked into its own little tin. Sure to delight even the fussiest princess you know! Initial of your choice.

These Truffles Party Favors would be perfect for your daughter's or granddaughter's birthday celebration! Choose any of the Truffles designs and choose the initials you’d like on each. Each comes with its own silver ball chain and ribbons, tucked into a little truffles tin.

Carol has lots of Scrabble tile necklaces to choose from ... like this beauty with your choice of a Paris vintage postcard (pictured) or a vintage atlas map. It comes with a wonderful added touch, a pewter Eiffel Tower charm.

Here is another Scrabble tile pendant, decoupaged with a vintage dictionary definition of the word ~Quilt~ with a silver thimble charm. It is sealed with a resin coating for long-lasting beauty and permanence, comes on a 24" chain and will arrive at your door in a ribbon-tied organza bag.

Just in time for Halloween is this recycled domino game piece made into a brooch, with a vintage Halloween picture of a little girl carrying a glorious orange jack-o-lantern, with a black kitty, taken from an old postcard. It's sealed with a diamond-like glaze for shine and permanence, accented with an orange mother-of-pearl star and vintage beads, and hangs from a 20 inch black ribbon necklace.

Just in time for autumn, this necklace is made with a real dyed leaf! It also features several olivine swarovski crystals, gold seed beads and a thick and sturdy sterling silver toggle clasp.

You can be pretty in pink with these Spring Blossoms earrings. They are made with light pink Czech glass caps and pacific opal Swarovski crystals, on a large silver plated kidney wire.

Featured Etsy Artist - designs4you

Our featured etsy shop today is designs4you by Becky of Jackson, Mississippi, who loves great fabrics and loves to sew. She makes bags, pouches and quilts, and is always happy to make custom orders.

Here's something in my favorite color, aqua.

This pretty Blue and Chocolate Brown Flutterby Bag has butterflies and ladybugs but don't let the dainty exterior fool you. It's very practical too: it's fully lined for extra durability and sturdiness, boasts two large interfaced inner pockets -- great for your cell phone, keys, and lipsticks -- and closes with a fabric-covered button and fabric tab.

Then there's this quilt that's to die for. Mmm, I would love to come home to this focal point in my bedroom every night. This gorgeous creation is a Fun Colorful Amy Butler Fabric Quilt that's 100% cotton in multi-colors, green and blue. The quilting is flowered daisy in a variegated yellow and orange.

Here is a handy-dandy zippered pouch to keep all your goodies organized. It's made out of fuchsia and moss green fabric from Amy Butler, with a polka dot lining and a cream zipper. It measures approximately 8" x 6".

These are just a few of her pretty handmade items. Click on any photo below to see everything in her etsy shop and start your holiday shopping!

My etsy feature today is the shop of Sunnybrook Farm Design by Rebekah.

You'll also find tote bags for a little girl, teen or mom, like this blue denim handled tote that's creatively decorated with a patchwork scrapbook style exterior. It's the perfect size for carrying stuff to read, or your knitting, crocheting or cross stitch, for taking on your trip to the beach, to ballet class or school.

And what beautiful hair accessories!

Featured Etsy Artist - PamperingBeki

Hair Flower by PamperingBeki

I've been taking part in Fingerprint Friday with other bloggers and our gracious host is PamperingBeki.

Just for fun, I thought I'd post some of the beautiful creations from Pampering Beki's etsy shop. She's been creating jewelry since 2003, has been featured in such online publications as Journal Modiste, and sells her work to local upscale boutiques and internationally as well.

Her designs feature the best of timeless elegance and trendy looks, with the end result being quality jewelry that will look as new and fresh years from now as it does today. Each piece is made on professional grade beading wire and always finished with a sterling silver clasp. Many of her pieces include natural stones.

Here's one of my favorites. This stunning "Through the Woods" necklace is made of picture jasper, chunks of lime turquoise and a hand-carved lime turquoise leaf shaped pendant.

If you need a lovely, unique gift for a mom or a young lady, you'll find a huge variety of hair flower clips, brooches, earrings, bracelets and necklaces - some with hand stamped metal disc pendants such as this "Joy" necklace.

Featured Etsy Artist - 1 of a Kind Creations

I ran across this seller last week on the etsy forum and used her awesome cat Jamie in my Meow Treasury a few days ago.

Jamie is just one of many delightful needlefelted sculptures, each designed and handmade by Deb of 1ofaKindCreations. Some are wall hangings and others come with stands for display. If you'd like a felted wall hanging that looks like your pet, she is happy to take custom orders. She also uses a rag crocheting backing in some of her creations, as you can see in the photo of Jamie.

Deb makes felted people like ALFREDO, described in this poem:

ALFREDO teaches ballroom dance
And makes the ladies swoon.
He hopes that you will take a chance
And take his class real soon!

She says, "I get my inspiration for each character from people I meet or know, and I like to pay attention to each little detail in their facial expressions."

Each sculpture is made from beautiful natural raw wool, she explains, "with lots and lots of use of the special needle that pokes at the wool thousands of times." Some pieces have taken over 20 hours to create.

I especially love IDA, because she looks amazingly like someone I know.

IDA still works 9 to 5
And loves her smoking breaks.
She wins at Bingo Friday nights
And smokes up what she makes!

Her work recently won a Vice President's Ribbon in the Ohio State University Faculty and Staff Art Show! Congratulations to Deb!

Here are a few more characters.

WALTER never left the farm
He worked hard throughout his life.
He took care of his mother, then his aunt,
But he never took a wife.

RONALD teaches Tai Kwon Do
And tutors after school.
Some say he's a role model,
The kids just say "he's cool".

MANNY was a roadie
He worked for the Grateful Dead.
He's proud that it's his claim to fame
But it's all gone to his head!

Starting my Christmas list

At the top of my Christmas gift list are these beautiful soaps by Gingerbells Bath Shop on etsy.

I love the little flowers and "icing." She says her many years' experience with polymer clay comes in handy when creating the pretty embellishments on top of the soap.

This relaxing herbal and mineral foot soak bag has such a cute name: "No More Tired Toes." Sounds heavenly!

Her shop (website) has listings for a variety of soaps, candles, lip balms, gift sets, foot soaks and teas. Get your shopping done early! To visit her bath shop, click on any picture below or at the bottom.

She also has a gift shop with lovely jewelry, Christmas ornaments and more:

One of the nicest people on etsy is Keri Joy of who makes fabulous Walldancers out of polymer clay. These are wonderful "Gals" to hang on your wall, and her designs encompass Babes, Mermaids, Angels and Fairies. I actually first discovered her on ebay several years ago and have the utmost admiration for her talent and tenacity.

She has an amazing story of not giving up even during challenging circumstances of serious illness.

In her words...
About The ‘Gals’ & Me:
I began the "Wall Dancers" in February 2003. After 15 years of being a Senior Designer, I lost my "passion" for my art. Just when I said "No Mas!" and "I knew' where my life was going (silly me!) - Our Higher Power decided to display a sense of humor and I've been 'along for the ride' ever since! I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in February 2002 that kept me literally bed-bound. It's been a 6-year tough battle but my ‘choice’ was not to take the victim role. The first dolls were actually made in bed with me in my jammies! I was told by all of my doctors that "these were impossible to do" and still to this day they still wonder 'how I do it.' ~smiling~ You just have met the "Rainman-Of-ETSY!"

For as bad as we think 'we may have it' the reality is there are always people who are truly in worse shape then us and after that reality check, you find yourself thankful for what you do have. I feel that "everything does happen for a reason' and I 'accept' that I am 'supposed' to be on this journey. I have learned many lessons and have met some of the greatest people on this adventure so I enjoy my 'ride' with a smile.
