Fingerprint Friday - Morty

My husband's family has always been big animal lovers, with quite a menagerie of pets. His dad passed away in 2003 and after his mom's death in 2006, we needed to find homes for the last two pets - a dachshund named Dottie and a Jack Russell named Morty. My mother-in-law originally found Morty on the side of the road with a serious eye injury necessitating the removal of her eye, so one of her nicknames is "the one-eyed Jack."

My son Johnathan and she adored each other. She would wait by the door every day after school for him to come to Grandma's house and play with her.

My sister-in-law's boss adopted Dottie who lived happily about 4 more years, and a wonderful lady I work with adopted Morty. She and her husband have four other Jack Russells and lots of land for them to run around on. Of course I ask her every now and then about Morty, and the other day she sent me a picture. It's great to see her looking peaceful and happy.

Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God my exceeding joy,
and I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
—Psalm 43:4

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? To find out how to join "Fingerprint Friday" and see links to other posts, visit Beki at The Rusted Chain.

Great how you found good homes for these animals, don't we wish all of God's creatures would be treated so well?
Smile today. :)

It is wonderful you found homes for them and that you have stayed inc ontact as well as have a picture. That must bring a special kind of joy and peace.
