Apple blossoms!

We live in Henderson County, North Carolina, home of the well-known Apple Festival held every year during Labor Day weekend. Now that it's springtime, the apple orchards near our house are in bloom. What a magical sight and the fragrance is heavenly! Here's a small sampling of what we are blessed to see this time of year.

Lovely blossom, what a treat. The blossom on my trees has suffered since we had very late snow a week or so back. x

Oh, how beautiful! We used to have apple trees, and your pictures make me miss them.
And when I was little, my dad and a friend of his would get up ultra-early one day in the Fall and go to the mountains to buy a bunch of apples. Then my mom would make apple jelly, apple dumplings, and my favorite: apple butter. Mmmm...
You've brought back some memories!
