New critters in my Etsy shop

Earlier this week someone bought four pendants - three cats and one dog, so I've made a couple of new cats. These can be custom made as beads (with a hole bored through instead of the attached bail). Just ask if you'd like anything custom made!

I also made another birdie pendant in lavender. Scroll down to Sept. 16 post or visit my shop to see them in various colors.

Thanks for looking!

Custom Doggie Ornament

I had fun making this custom order today - a Christmas ornament someone ordered for a friend, with the friend's dog, a Maltese-Shih Tzu, done in clay.

Go to pcagoe.com to see all the creative entries and the winners in the September Challenge of the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy!

This month's Challenge was to create something inspired by a favorite book. I chose Harry Potter, and made a Snowy Owl Ornament inspired by Harry's owl Hedwig. Hoo hoo!

Little Birdie Pendants

I've been making some sweet little bird pendants this week that are listed in my Etsy shop for $12 each.

It's fun to make them in different colors and decorate them with different stamps. It's not always easy to get the stamped images to come out right. I throw a lot away because things go wrong, like the bird might be missing its head (LOL) or the edges of the stamp get inked and show up on the clay.

Then we have a bit of excitement if I miss the wastebasket when I throw a wad of clay. If it lands on the floor, the dog grabs it and thinks it's fun to run around with it in her mouth or chew on it. We have to pry it out of her mouth and get it into the wastebasket. Woof!

Featured Artist - Zcat Studio Creations

It's like finding a hidden treasure when you find a wonderful new, talented jewelry artist among the many, many jewelry artists on Etsy. This week I found Zcat Studio Creations through the forum.

Here are some of her astonishingly beautiful polymer clay pieces. Remarkably, she only recently started experimenting with polymer clay. She also creates with other types of beads.

She makes necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more. There are over 100 items in her shop, well worth taking a look. (Note: Her user id is "zcatstudiocreation" and her shop name is "Zcat Studio Creations.")

Cats Cats Cats!

If you love cats as much as I do, you'll enjoy adding a unique touch to your outfit with one of my cat pins!

Just for fun, I created an imaginary-colored cat of hot pink Fimo with black markings and green eyes (about 1 1/2" square). It really *pops* on a black jacket or shirt. (SOLD September 19 - If you'd like a similar one, just ask. I'm always happy to make custom orders.)

For those who prefer a smaller pin, here is a little tuxedo cat in black and white which measures about 1 1/4" square.

If you'd rather have a cat pendant, fridge magnet (useful for decorating your file cabinet too!), ornament or paperweight, I am happy to do custom orders.

For cats and dogs and more, visit my etsy shop today!

Featured Seller - Kittycrossbones

One of my recent purchases on Etsy was a set of 1" buttons from kittycrossbones. They are for sale in my shop and I've enjoyed including a couple of free ones with each polymer clay item people have bought.

I sent her photos of 6 of my clay creations which she put on buttons with my shop name on the edge.

Kittycrossbones makes all kinds of promotional goodies, like various size buttons, mirrors, bookmarks, cards, stickers, notepads, calendars, checkbook covers and more.
These can also be made for special occasions like birthday parties, graduations, church events, anniversaries/weddings, fundraising for schools [sports teams etc], kids projects, and more! Check out her shop today!
